This table shows the number of businesses who have listed in the Yellow Pages. While not every business in Australia is listed, this source is one of the more reliable estimates of the numbers and types of businesses who are engaged in the tourism industry.

While each business may be listed under multiple categories, this table allocates them to one category only based on advertising expenditure.

Data is aggregated from postcodes to tourism regions. Some postcodes fall into more than one region, causing a small amount of data loss in some regions as each postcode is allocated to one region only. For further information, contact the Decipher Content Team. Note that if a business type does not appear in the table there are no businesses of that type listed in the region.
